The seeds for Iveria Inn were sown in May 2015. It’s fascinating how the future often intertwines with the past in a land rich with culture and history. The investors (all of whom are Georgians, by the way) visualized a property that would be a tribute to the city of Tbilisi. You see, at that time, high-standard hotels were uncharted territory for a district like Varketili. Hence, travelers from the airport had to make do with only guesthouses. That’s why the inception of Iveria Inn was more than just a business idea; it was a mission. A mission to uplift the image of the Varketili district, a mission to offer a touch of class near the airport, and a mission to redefine hospitality standards.
Why we named it Iveria Inn
We thought long and hard about the name of this pioneering, high-standard hotel in Varketili. Eventually, we settled on “Iveria” as a homage to our beloved land. If you didn’t know, there was a time when Eastern Georgia was lovingly referred to as Iveria.
Architecture & Design
The muse for the hotel’s design emerged from the Varketili district itself. It was crucial for the founders that the design was a beacon of class and modernity in the neighborhood. It should have infused the area with a taste of sophistication while retaining the warmth of Georgian hospitality. The architectural canvas was inspired by the modern, reflecting a fresh, contemporary essence.
